Nero was sold to Albert Hypolite of Colorado Springs CO, at the end of summer 2004, when the dog was a little less than a year old. He had a lot of promise but we knew that Albert really wanted him, so we let him go.

PROGRESS REPORT, MARCH 2005: Albert phoned to let us know how well Nero is doing out in the Rockies, and how very happy he is with the dog. "He's everything I was hoping for - very fast, very smart, and never quits." It was quite gratifying to hear, and made us feel good that we decided to sell the dog, especially into terrain that's very different from ours. If anyone out West wants to see Nero or talk to Albert about him, email us and we can get you in touch with him, he said he'd be glad to show Nero off. Additionally, Nero's breeder, Bob McClurg, has recently re-made the same cross that produced Nero (Lehner's Busterpatch X McClurgs Hemlockpatch Be-Nelli), so we may be getting another pup with the same pedigree, if John decides on a puppy as stud fee.
