Linus and his littermate Lucy were brought to BEB as pups. Their pedigree featured dogs bred by Mike Yates in Mississippi, and later on by Leroy Miller, who brought some of Mike's bloodstock north to Pennsylvania. Linus was a gamer but a bit on the conservative side, and John decided not to go with the 'southern' Yates blood up here in PA. But as a good example of how every dog is just right for somebody, we sold Linus in Sept. 1998 to Terry Vanosdale of Plowboys Pache Kennel in Lenoir City TN (email link for Terry), who was looking for a stud male with just Linus' makeup. Linus found his purpose in life (lucky Linus), and he's sired a lot of good dogs since his move south. Terry later purchased Lucy as well (with co-owner Steve Smith), and he's been breeding both dogs very successfully.
